“People matter”

With great pleasure, I welcome you to my website.

The purpose of the services I provide to my clients is to explore and discover an authentic way for them to exist with fullfillment and well-being. Through an empathetic therapeutic relationship in a safe and accepting environment, honouring their uniqueness, diversity and inclusion, I stand as a companion during the exploration and discovery of their personal values with respect and awareness of the challenges and demands of the era we live in.

My extensive academic education combined with my professional and clinical experience have created a framework for my work in personalised and group psychotherapy services (both in-person and online), career counselling for adults seeking professional change or reintegration into the workforce, based not only on their skills and experience but also their interests, supporting them on the path to their self fullfillment. My long experience in corporate environments is also a passion of mine, which I channel through corporate training workshops for employees and adults, aiming to optimise the overall functioning of a business as a living organism. It is my honour and desire for you to navigate through my website and reach out to me if you recognise a common ground for your personal development through our meetings.

I was born and raised in Piraeus, originating from the village of Oia in Santorini, with my roots extending to Constantinople. My studies have been and will be a continuous journey of personal development. My postgraduate studies in Clinical, Cognitive, and Person-Centred Psychotherapy from the Hellenic American University and the Strathclyde University, have shaped me as a person and given meaning to what I desired and love to do in the field of psychotherapy and human growth. My additional bachelor's and master's studies in Human Resource Management and Business Administration have enhanced my specialisation, allowing me to also engage in Career Counselling for adults seeking a "second" chance or simply a transition and reintegration into the job market. My collaborations with companies in human resource enhancement and training workshops in leadership, team management, conflict, and mental resilience complement my professional profile as I wish to exist and interact with the people I collaborate with. As a lover of continuous learning, I am in the process of European Certification as a Psychotherapist, while being a member of the Panhellenic Association of Professionals in Person-Centred & Experiential Approaches.

My interest in the well-being of LGBTQIA+ individuals has led me over the past 10 years to practice and engage in psychotherapeutic ways for them to exist as they desire, focusing on acceptance, inclusion, and individual responsibility. In the context of my exploratory disposition, I conducted research with distinction (Strathclyde University) on how psychotherapy can assist in the coming out process, recognising the boundaries and providing a safe way that each person desires, in relation to their needs and social constraints. My specialisations also include the application of Mindfulness approach, having been trained on a scholarship in MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) from the Athenian Centre for Mindfulness, targeting individuals with anxiety and related disorders, as well as chronic pain issues. The approach is related to cultivating a conscious attitude towards life, which helps my clients to maintain their mental balance even when facing financial, work-related, emotional, or physical difficulties.

My most recent certification in the Pro Play method, which uses the professional Playmobil pro kit as its basis, radically transforms the way we behave individually and in groups. When people play, they dedicate more and better resources (time, energy, attention) to solve their challenges. Besides a range of emotional benefits, playing allows the individual to engage in complex situations in a simple way. By observing the situation as a third party, they discover ideas, alternative perspectives, and solutions much more easily than when they are immersed in them. The application involves psychotherapeutic individual and group facilitation and training workshops in corporate environments. Alongside my private professional experience as a psychotherapist, I worked for over two decades in multinational organisations and companies in senior management positions (Head of Customer Service Operations, Senior HR Business Partner, Learning and Development Director). My voluntary attraction to stray animals and the homeless, combined with my love for knitting, led to me offering my creations for philanthropic purposes at related bazaars, such as the Greek Animal Welfare Society. Now, my profession and personal life can be summed up in a few words: "people matter."
